We produce quality aggregates from the natural Malmesbury Hornfels deposits in our quarry. Hornfels is a metamorphic rock formed by the contact between mudstone / shale, or other clay-rich rock, and a hot igneous body, and represents a heat-altered equivalent of the original rock. This process is termed contact metamorphism.

The cubical shape of our stone, which plays an important role in producing quality concrete is very important to us. Our aggregates are delivered to your site daily with the help of numerous sub-contractors whose trucks roam the Vissershok Road.

Portland Quarry is a proud member of ASPASA (Aggregate and Sand Producers Association of Southern Africa)
